Saving Creature?
Hi,
I'd like to reset my breveCreature simulation, but would also like to save a snapshot of where the current simulation is, in case I want to continue it later and to keep an archive of my creatures. Is there a set of files I can backup to save the current state of the simulation?
Thanks,
Blas

yes: got to 'your' map; in most cases that's your username, the map w/ the little house as icon;
it contains (amongst others) a map Library, which contains a map 'Preferences' and in there you will find the file you're looking for. It is called: breveCreatures.xml
Simply renaming that file to, say, breveCreaturesGen110WigglyThingwithManyLegs.xml makes sure it is 'safe', because next run, the breveCreatures screensaver will reset itself w/o you having to do that in the ScreensaverMenu, because it can't find a breveCreatures.xml savefile, so it will make a new one, containing a new family of creatures.

and of course, restoring your saved file is simple re-naming it breveCreatures.xml (make sure you rename the current one, if you want to keep that one, too...)

Thanks! I appreciate the help.
