breveIDE on Fedora Core 6 -> Installation Problem

Hi,

I just downloaded breveIDE 2.5.1 Linux IDE version.

when i tried to run the IDE after exporting the environment, i am getting the following error
"[root@nisl09 breveIDE]# ./breveIDE_ex
./breveIDE_ex: error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
"

when i check /usr/lib i find libtiff.so.3 but not libtiff.so.4,

FC6 was upto date.

Please help me.

Fixed in 2.6?

Are you still experiencing this problem with 2.6? It should be fixed...

If you are still seeing the problem, please post the error message here.

Compile under Linux x86_64

Hi, Jon

I usually solved this problem by installation of symbolic link to the system library tiff v.3, not 4. Worked well.

However, it would be good to have possibility to compile breve for 64bit arch. It looks like main problem is with wx-2.5.4, which cannot be compiled on this arch using modern gcc-4.2.2 compiler.

What can we do with breve IDE on x86_64 arch?
