Just thinking...

I was thinking about simulations a while ago and thought of somthing interesting. So that no one thinks I'm acually working on this-I'm still new and seince the tutorial for the betering vehicle is gone I probably wont get any better for a while. I am not working on this it is just a idea.

Ok now that thats out of the way...Evolution in a world that requires it. What if you programed many diffrent "landforms" in using geometric shapes and a special area where it appered as water. Some creatures could swim in the "water" and some creatures would have to be on "land". And lets say that their where "plants", resimbling stalks with green orbs on top. The "land" creatures would eat the plants and some would eat the other creatures. Yes let me just say It will be like a artifical world with evolution. Anyways smaller but in mass prodution would be small floating orbs in the "water". And etc. etc., the creatures would reproduce and the ones with the best genes would invetably pass them on.

Anyways just a thought of boredom' enjoy mualuing over it...o.O

Build It

Get the code and build it. If you can start on environment primitives that read a map file to place the plants and configure the landscape I can help with the GA code. Or send me some sketches I would love to see your ideas. We could use the help, creating plants and loading maps would be darn cool.

Well the problom is (yet I

Well the problom is that I dont get most of breve. I can create some baterangvehicles. :P, Im willing to learn (I've acually posted something asking for help) so you know...I dont get what the GA code is or most of that stuff.

Take your time

Breve is really easy compared to php or python, you should have no problem. Start with simple ideas such as creating a group of objects all with the same shape that use another object to calculate a function. Keep it real simple at first. Then tinker with your functions to control their movement it's easy (e.g. object move to (x,y,z). ) It's that simple. Try something you would use a standard language to accomplish.

All the advanced features such as the neural nets, and genetic algorithms can wait. Once you get a firm grip on the code you will have a better understanding of some of the demos, and taking a section of code out of a demo will be very easy to understand.

Take your time, it requires some patience, like anything for that matter.

Ok then....think *take it

Ok then....think *take it slow*:P alright

I've been designing models on paper in my free time of agents...iteresting how much breve should be able to do.

Stop, Think, Organize, Plan.

Say your work never gets to building a "Warcraft III" simulation, all the tools are here, it is up to you.

Pattern #2
Find Inspiration

Once took a week to explore the GUI designs of every star trek console, including Aliens Marine Terminal Consoles. I know you don't waste our time, what type of work do you enjoy? Ever pondered Species 6847 Biologic.

O..o

True very True...to bad I went and looked at byond. Now I understand C++ and Java script proc's and varables but I forget momentaraly what a controller is...o.o (Glad I figured that out again...)
