Could Breve and Blender 3D work together

I have been playing with Breve for almost a year. I would estimate I have spent about 50 hours learning and having fun with it. Being a father of 3 in my situation kind of limits coding time, and quiet time for planing a program. It appears to me that animating a humanoid and getting the movements to be life like will take a lot of time in Breve. I am wondering if I can use Python to get a Blender object to use some Breve functions and algorithms. I think it could be the best of both worlds(Breve's genetic algorithms, and Blender's easy to create models). Has anyone tried this before? I have just started the tutorials in Blender, and I am not sure when I will get to the scripting. Perhaps by New Years I will be able to have a basic model sending information to a Breve component which will store and perhaps send a reaction. I hope to post something here by then.

The best bet at this point

The best bet at this point is to use Blender to construct a model, export the data, and then import it into breve.

Although both use Python for scripting purposes, breve cannot be loaded as a standalone Python module and I believe the same is true for Blender (though I'm not positive). This means it could be a bit difficult to get them running in the same Python environment at once.

Incidentally, a one of the big changes in the works for breve 2.7 is support for loading 3D models and other data. Though I haven't done any work to integrate the Blender file formats specifically, the changes are setting the stage for that possibility...

[oops, edited to say "use Blender" to construct the model]

That's excellent news. I

That's excellent news. I believe the Blender models should be easier maintain than the 3d max ones.

Very good to see some

Very good to see some discussion on Blender and breve.

I still have not dived totally into Breve, but I am getting there.

Cheers,
Satish.
